How we work
Our work as an architect always starts with a careful analysis making sure we indicate all vital ingredients for the best outcome of the design process. Through workshops with the client and users, we arrive at sensible sustainable designs. Where necessary, we team up with other disciplines among others landscape designers, builders, artists, mobility experts, ecologists and material experts.
Green architecture. Our answer to overheating, air pollution and urban flooding.
We handle a climate proof approach in every design task that results in new urban models where nature and city coexist in harmony. Where green is a self-evident part of the architecture providing shading, cooling and clean air. Where rainwater is captured for agriculture, sanitary facilities and irrigation of micro climates within the development preventing urban flooding. Where wind is used to create natural air flow and combined with the green micro climates providing comfortable living conditions preventing the need for air conditioning. Where sun provides energy to become self sufficient and avoid the need for fossil fuels.
Stimulating the local community and a biobased- circular economy
Our work advocates for stimulation of the local economy. We aim for local materials, craftmanship and production at the basis of each design. Where possible we invest in startups in innovative sustainable solutions. Often, developed principles can become products applied on an industrial scale. Preferably this consists of circular products from renewable biobased resources.
